FHBC Provincial Performance Talent ID Camp :
This summer 2021 I was nominated by my coach to participate in a FHBC Talent ID camp where coaches evaluated the players and gave them feedback at the end of the camp. This camp was really helpful as they gave me important things to work on that I have been improving throughout the season. I was then notified that I had been placed on the CSI Targeted Athlete list and I was eligible to go directly to stage two of the Provincial Program trials. I look forward to attending the final U16 B.C. field hockey team tryouts in May of 2022.
B.C. Provincial Team Tryouts
This May 2022 I tried out for the U16 B.C. Provincial team. It was a three day long tryout where we were evaluated on our skills and gameplay. I was selected for the Blue Team which is the top tier 1 team. We will play in the India Club tournament at the end of June and then compete in the Canadian Nationals August 9th – 14th. We will be training together for the next couple of months and I am excited to have this opportunity to play against a higher level of competition and continue improving my skills.
